General Information For Visitors
The Cathedral is very much part of the local community. It is used regularly for local, regional and/or national services and events. Some or all of it may therefore at times be closed for general visiting. Please always contact the head Office in Kiungani before visiting for up-to-date information.

Opening Times
Weekdays (Monday to Sunday)…………….. 09:00 – 06:00 hrs.

Charges(please note this charges may change at anytime without notice)
Adults and Children (above 10yrs)……….. $5 USD.
Residents ……… $3USD.

The Cathedral offers a wide range of facilities to ensure that each visitor enjoys a warm and appropriate welcome. Visitors may like to wander around with the help of one of our tour guide. Or they may like to join a general tour. Tours take place throughout the day, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 06:30 hrs. Our expert guides make the Cathedral and its rich history come to life.

Saint Monica’s Restaurant offers a wide range of  snacks and beverages.

Photography is permitted (except in the Altar) – but for your own personal use only. Any commercial / stock library photography must be agreed in advance and is subject to a fee.

Parking is not possible within the cathedral except for a very few disabled parking spaces, by prior arrangement. The Cathedral is in the heart of Stone-town and there are several public car parks nearby.
